Hi San,

Yes, I am not even sure I would enjoy working on one of these, but I can also see where they might be interesting. You are right, I am also that way in I can have a great plan which never really works out as I intended.

I am sure you would end up doing something wonderful, San!

Thanks!

Hi Andrea,

I think this is like an indention in the canvas. Kind of like a window which is not clear...with a small shelf, if you will, at the bottom. At least that is the way I am seeing it! I would like to see one painted, though!

Thanks!

Kim, I would probably just let the painting continue into the indented area, then climb back out. Then again, the notions I have when I begin a painting tend to be altered dramatically once I'm painting. Who knows where I'd be led?

This canvas would be an intriguing place to start the process.

Hi Kim, this is such an interesting canvas, I went to see it bigger on clicking on your link...I wonder how this works, does indention mean that there is like a flatter surface where I see the little square?
love
Andrea

Hi Paula,

That is so cool...I really like the idea of this being an "altar painting".

You are amazing...did you order this canvas or did you find it locally?

Thanks Paula

How interesting. I have used small jewelry size boxes to set them into the canvas for a very similar effect.

I used the space to place altar objects.

Oh Cool! I would cut a little hole in the back for a wire and insert a little light bulb. Cover the front with a sheet of colored clear acetate and paint on it. Hang it up, plug it in and the middle will shine. (smile)

Hi Suki,

Oh yes, you would have to do one of your fabulous assemblages with this one...or you could create a series of books for the indention!

Doing something like the grid would be unexpected for one of these canvases. I think I would like doing that, too. I also think it would be cool to have a canvas with multiple indentions.

Thanks Suki!

Babs! You would really come up with something fun for this! Okay, at least 2 of them for Babs! You could get one of those 5 foot ones and another few to fit into the indention! :) Let us know if you give it a try!

Thanks Babs!
