A New Blog
I know many of you have seen this bit of frottage work before, but this post is not about any of my work. Today, I am introducing you to a new blog. Many of you may remember my interview with my glass artist friend, Lesley McIver. Some of you have even ordered jewelry from Lesley, and I know you have an amazing piece of art. Our friend Lesley has started her own blog. You can find her using this link or from the list of blogs at the right. I hope you will go over and give her a welcome to the blogging world. I just wanted to share this with you today.

thanks for the tip. i went to her blog and “followed” however didnt leave a comment. Recently, thinking about chakras, I thought of Leslie’s chakra bracelet. I logged on to the web site but now there seem to be a lot of chakra bracelets and I couldnt choose one. which is the one you have? I will have to return and puruse them again.
Hello Suki, I knew you would be glad to see her blog there. I saw she had a link to your blog in place. Ah, the chakra bracelets are wonderful. I have one of the older ones she did, but it is the most like the one with the silver charm and crystal spacers (but not exactly like it). The beads on mine are similar. The drop bead is a glass bead. I also have the meditation beads which I absolutely love, too. I wear my chakra bracelet all the time and people absolutely adore it. Lesley has some beautiful choices there. Let me know when you make a choice. I think you will be pleased with any of them. I know Lesley would be happy to answer any questions you might have about them. Enjoy the process, my dear friend!
Hi Kim, thanks so much for introducing this blog! Somehow I had missed the interview you conducted with Lesley and I went there and looked at those colorful artworks! I went to her blog and left a welcome message. it’s such a fine artist!
Your frottage work is just beautiful, the sparse color makes it so very attractive, like an old chinese painting, in fact it looks like a very old and blossoming Jananese Cherry Tree, I love it!
Have a great day,
Andrea.
Oh Andrea, you are so welcome. Lesley is such a wonderful artist and her creativity knows no bounds. It is always fun to go over to her web site (now her blog) and find amazing inspiration. She is the one who has shared the paua shells with me. I know she will love getting your comment on her blog.
Thank you, I am glad you like that piece. It is one of my favorites I have pulled off of some wet paint. Sometimes, things just show up before us, don’t they? I always felt it had an Asian feel to it as well.
You have a wonderful evening in beautiful Paris, Andrea!
Ah, you are so sweet and kind, dear Kim! I’m beginning to enjoy the blogging process – now that I feel that I have learned just a little more!
.
Hey – this gorgeous work does look rather like an oriental painting – spare and warm at the same time – AND it matches in beautifully with your blog colours
Arohanui.
Hello Lesley, I am so glad you are starting to enjoy this process. It is going to be fun to read about all of the shows you are doing, the towns you explore and the adventures you take with Mr Toy Boy! I am glad you like this piece. It has been hanging around for quite some time now, but I do like it, too. Have a Beautiful Day in Golden Bay!
It’s always fun to discover a great new blog. Thanks for pointing the way, Kim.
