New Landscapes

12"x6" acrylic on hardboard

The real voyage of discovery lies not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

Marcel Proust

…I will add, new landscapes never hurt, however :)

Thank you, Sabi! I am glad you love it.

Oh, this is gorgeous, Kim! I tried to enlarge it to see the texture of the “paua” coloured piece :) . Is this the same technique as my “Paua” triptych? It’s dreamy…
I had to have a wee chuckle about the new landscapes – I could do with one myself right now! Mid winter grind here.
    Love,

Thank you, Lesley! I am not sure you can enlarge with word press, but I can tell you this is the same technique used in a different way. I combined it with straight ink in this case on hardboard. The ink on the hard board comes out different than it does on canvas. Although the gesso keeps the ink on top, the hardboard doesn’t allow for any seepage at all. I like playing with this kind of thing.

You are ready for a summer break? Come see me! :-) I have to say winter sounds nice about now. The east coast of the US has been having some brutal weather. We have had a bit of rain lately, so maybe that will bring things back to normal…here’s hoping.

    Have a Wonderful Day!

Thanks so much, Jess, it is great to see you here. I know what you mean and my children are all grown. I am just glad you pop in from time to time. I have missed you. I hope all is well. I just told my daughter yesterday that I miss England every day! Have a fun weekend!
