DC Door

Sweet Little Door in Washington, DC

A little door found while walking through a DC neighborhood.  I couldn’t resist doing this little doodle.  I continue with some sketching through these hot summer days and consider the goodness of slow art.  I hope you are staying cool.

Thanks so much, Andrea! I love this idea of a laughing door! There is no doubt now, fun things are going on beyond… You have a wonderful day, too! Stay Cool!

Oh yes! This door definitely does smile! And do I see people in the window? This is the door to a home filled with warmth – perhaps a little too much warmth at the moment, heehee!
It’s gorgeous, Kim, and very evocative. As your work always is.

Hello Lesley, it is so cool you and Andrea can both see this smiling door! Quite possibly there are people there, however I have not intentionally placed them. You are right about the too much warmth, although it is probably just right for you! :-) Thank you so much for your kind words, my dear friend.
