Finding Grace in Life

from my sketchbook

Grace happens, it seems to me, when lives touch.  We each have the opportunity to find it each time.  The exciting part is we get to choose it.

    Hi Kim,
This is amazing! This is the first of your poetry I’ve seen – and I will print it off and keep it nearby.
It reminds me somewhat of some of my absolute favourite words – the Prayer of St Francis of Assisi – “Make me a channel of your peace….where there is darkness bring light…”.
I love that the embellishment is simple and meditative…and it’s like the words come from meditation themselves.
You make me think that I need to spend some time doing just these things! Drawing, writing, meditating, connecting with you…

    Have a great weekend!

Hello Les, well lately these things have been visiting me, so I jot them down. I love that prayer, too, as it is so peaceful and opening. You are right about these drawings…they are quite meditative and the words make themselves available to me when I am doing these things (stopping in the middle to jot some down). Okay, it is great with me for you to spend time with me drawing, writing and meditating. It is truly amazing what comes out of it and how much influence it has on other creative endeavors. I am learning with keeping the focus and this process helps me do that! I do hope you can find the opportunity to join me. It would be great fun.

Ohh, that sounds truly beautiful! Maybe I should try printing it! :-)
