For some time now, I have been working cooperatively with another artist. I am sure many of you are aware Andrea Hupke de Palacio and I have been doing little things here and there for several years now. Recently, and a lot of my time away from this blog, we worked more and more together trying out new ideas and encouraging each other to push ourselves in our art and not rely on what we have been comfortable with in the past. We even tried a little cooperative sketching such as this one where Andrea sent me a section of a sketch she did, then I glued the strip down and did another sketch from the lines I could see (can you see the strip of blue and white down the middle?).
This is just one of those things we did in a few moments to see where these things would take us. Andrea has some others we did like this. This cooperation has literally taken wings and we have kept flying with it. We found we work well together and have a very similar philosophy. So you are going to be hearing more and more about our collaborative work. Now, when you see “Atelier 325″ you will know this is the Kim and Andrea show. At this point, we are not ready to lead you anywhere on the web, but soon you will be hearing more. We are both very excited about this and I hope you will follow along on this adventure we are creating.
Everyone have a beautiful weekend!
