Acrylic Inks

As many of you know I have been enjoying the use of acrylic inks.  I like how they apply so thinly and blend so beautifully.  A great deal of atmosphere can be created with these very special products.

Recently, I have come to love FW Pearlescent inks. Daler Rowney makes these as well as regular acrylic inks.  They provide vibrant colors  and the glass droppers are especially appealing to use.

Liquitex also has a nice, professional line of acrylic inks.  As far as I know, they do not have the pearlescent inks, but their regular inks are saturated with color and take to the surface nicely.  I liked this photograph:

Don’t you just want to jump right in and see what you can make these colors do?  Now, this photo shows glass droppers, however this has not been my personal experience with the Liquitex brand inks.

One of the things I really like about this brand is they come in both 30 ml and 150 ml bottles.  Sometimes, with large canvases, the small bottles really pile up.

You might like to give acrylic inks a try, if you have not already.  I would love to hear of your experience, if you have enjoyed using them or not.  How would you use acrylic inks in your work?

Thank you to Daler Rowney and Liquitex for these photographs.
